About:

Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra is a local non-profit organization. FVSO wanted to start fundraising in the spirit of Giving Tuesday to help keep the music alive in the community.

Social Media Mission:

FVSO is a nonprofit organization that usually has the opportunity to fundraise via concerts and ticket sales. However, due to 2020, they were not able to have the same fundraising abilities. Our goal was to start a fundraising campaign leading up to Giving Tuesday to help push Giving Tuesday day-of fundraising, we started the fundraising campaign in October leading up to December 1st, 2020.

Challenge:

Usually, on Giving Tuesday, the feed is full of many companies calling to their community to help fundraise for local non-profits therefore, we wanted to start to ask and lean on the community for help before Giving Tuesday. We wanted to have the brand of FVSO be in front of the community, and have them keep us in mind during the entire fall and winter season!

Deliverables:

  • One video a week from a board member talking about the importance of helping fundraise for Fox Valley Symphony and their impact on the local community. 
  • One video a week from a musician within the Symphony playing a piece to show how important it is to keep the music alive with a call to action to donate. 
  • One “concert” video a week from musicians from the Symphony to provide education and entertainment to the community with a call to action to donate.
  • 7 board member video’s 
  • 10 musician video’s
  • 7 Saturday concert video’s
  • 34 total posts during the campaign 

Results:

  • We raised a total of $4,000.00 on Giving Tuesday (December 1st, 2020)
  • Throughout the entire campaign, we were able to raise over $6,000.00
